Key Stage 2, years 4-6

Stages 4, 5 and 6 classrooms are located at Clementhus, Gammel Kærvej 28.  There are 22-24 students per class and the average number of lessons per week is 30. Students meet every day at 8.00 and finish school not later than 15.15.  

Subjects

In Key Stage 2, students follow Cambridge International Curriculum in English, Mathematics, Science, Global Perspectives, Art, Music and Sport. We also offer Spanish in Stages 5 and 6 and Danish to all classes. The core subjects lead to Checkpoint Primary exams in Stage 6 which marks the end of primary education. 

Special Activities and School trips

In Stage 6 students have a one week trip to a destination in Denmark. Also in Stage 6, students take their cycling proficiency test at the end of the school year.  Stages 4,5 and 6 have drama and put on a school play just before Christmas.    

After School Activities

Choir and Orchestra

Children can join the school choirs and the developing orchestra for violin and cello players.   Students can start learning these instruments in Stage 4. Those interested in music can choose to have private lessons with Aalborg kulturskole. Students can also join private dance lessons in the school hall in the afternoon/evenings.

SFO and Club

Students in Stage 4 can attend the after school service SFO and there is a special club for students in Stages 5 and 6. These services run from the time lessons finish to 16.30 everyday.
